The landing of Space Shuttle Challenger on 24th June 1983- onboard are astronauts Bob Crippen (CDR) Rick Hauk (PLT) Sally Ride (MS) John Fabian (MS) and Norman Thagard (MS). The planned landing at the SLF at KSC was scrubbed and STS-7 was re-targetted to EAFB.
