It's my final day in Hiroshima, Japan, and I'm running solo on a mission to spend my last 5,000 Yen (~$35) on authentic souvenirs before catching my flight!
Following a tip from a fellow traveler I met in the lounge, I headed deep into the back streets of Hiroshima to track down Don Quijote—the ultimate Japanese discount store. I managed to score some awesome, cheap Hiroshima fridge magnets for my wife Christine, but finding the legendary Pokémon Cards proved to be a much bigger challenge.
After discovering that Don Quijote was completely cleaned out, I used AI to track down an official, massive Pokémon Center right outside the main Hiroshima train station. Watch to find out what happens when I try to buy rare packs behind the counter, and see the intense Level 5 puzzle toy I picked up for my brother-in-law instead!
To wrap up the trip, my dad met back up with me at the station, and we treated ourselves to an incredible, heated Wagyu beef bento box right in the waiting room.
