Southwest 737 | Southwest Airlines Full Flight MCO-DCA: THE FAMOUS RIVER VISUAL 19 @Southwest737 | Uploaded February 2017 | Updated October 2024, 3 seconds ago.
Join me and the Embry-Riddle Aviation Photography Club as we take our first out-of-state spotting trip! In this video, we fly Southwest out of Orlando and head up to our nation's capital, Washington DC. This is only my second time ever flying in or out of Reagan National Airport since I normally fly into BWI as you'll notice from my previous videos. What made it even greater was getting to shoot the river visual approach into runway 19. This approach is famous throughout the aviation industry, since planes have to come into the airport at an angle to avoid prohibited airspace around the White House. After they pass the prohibited areas the planes must make a sharp right turn to line up with the runway. It's quite an exciting approach and I'm really glad I got to experience it. Here's hoping you will too. Enjoy!
Flight 4733 Boeing 737-700
Departed MCO: 9:55 AM from gate 129.
Arrived DCA: 11:35 AM at gate 8.
Seat: 16A
P.S.- Also got some bonus cockpit footage of the 737 for you guys as well. All we did was ask the flight attendants at the end of the flight if we could go up to the cockpit and they said yes, so you can do this too on your next flight!
