It's been a while since I've been able to fly commercially, so I was super happy to get the chance to fly up to Maryland for the 4th of July weekend. But I didn't get there without trial and error. My first plane had a problem with the hydraulic pressure, so they had to fly in a replacement from Tampa. Just after the aircraft landed, a severe thunderstorm hit Orlando, shutting down the airport and preventing the plane from parking at the gate (since the ground crew was not allowed outside because of frequent lightning). After a 4 hour delay, my flight finally departed Orlando. Along the way I got to experience some choppy air from the dissipating thunderstorms, and I got to Baltimore before the sun set. Enjoy!
