They are part of the Felinos do Pampa Project, a research and conservation initiative integrated into the agenda of the Geoffroy's Cat Working Group and supported by Big Cat Rescue and the Small Wild Cat Conservation Foundation.
Recordings like this help track individual cats, habits and health in the wild without being bothered by humans. It also provides the conservationists with amazing footage to help educate the communities around them as well as all of us around the world who now have the opportunity to see them in their natural habitat we would never otherwise see.
