► Backing Track Southern Rock in Db Mixolydian for guitar or any other instrument (80 BPM). You can use the Db Major Pentatonic Scale or the Db Mixolydian Scale to improvise over this track. You can also try incorporating the Db minor pentatonic scale.
► If you play the guitar in E flat / Eb tuning (guitar), the song can be played as a D - C - G - D chord progression.
► This backing track has a similar chord progression as the song 'Can't you see by the Marshall Tucker Band' (uses standard tuning) or 'Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N’ Roses' (Eb tuning), try to borrow some licks/solo parts from this song and play them over this backing track ;)
► Note:
- The Db Mixolydian Scale has the same notes as the Gb Major Scale / Eb Minor Scale.
- The Db Minor Pentatonic Scale has the same notes as the Db Mixolydian Scale, except for the note E (b3). The Db Mixolydian scale includes the note F (3), so you can always bend the note E towards F.
- If you use the Db Major Pentatonic Scale, try to include the minor third (b3) now and then to add some spice ;)
