A real honest-to-goodness Southern Pacific 6-chime steam locomotive whistle blowing on steam at the Kinetic Steam Works booth. 2018 Maker's Faire in San Mateo, California. These whistles are incredibly rare. I polished the brass bell on this whistle from a rough casting to a mirror finish, then installed it on this traction engine that had just received a brand new boiler and full restoration. Traction engine is a 1915 Nichols and Shepard 70-20 and has a brand new ASME code boiler, courtesy of Jonas Stutzman.

Stephen Rademaker is on the footplate operating the traction engine and blowing the whistle.
