The City's main overnight shelter space — the South Railroad Facility (SRF) — is set to open April 12.

Involving nearly every department across the City and a result of Loveland’s Emergency Unauthorized Encampment Ban Ordinance passed by City Council in May 2022, the SRF was identified as the most viable site for a longer-term, yet temporary shelter space.

“A tremendous amount of consideration has gone into creating this facility as well as preparing to manage shelter operations. I am proud of our staff and contributing non-profit partners for their work and am thankful to the community for their patience with this effort,” said Loveland City Manager Steve Adams.
