NEW URCHIN SONG... SPACE RACE! Turn it up loud! So, It’s time to rock again, now more than ever, we cannot wait any longer. It’s time for guitars and drums and guitars. So here’s a brand new one for ya, from the around 50 we’ve been working on for a while… I mean, we thought 2020 was gonna be a little different, just like y’all did… in Urchinland we were gonna start off with an SOU DUO show, and then the fun was gonna begin. We were gonna do more of those and eventually lead into full band stuff. We have about 50 songs recorded and the decision for what to do with those (an album? or 3?? or a series of EPs???) was going to be made as we moved forward and we were gonna roll from there. Well, you know what happened... everything freakin’ stopped!
So here we are. It’s time to start things up again, given where we’re all at right now, so we’re gonna ride it a little and see. Since we don’t have a proper album (or 3!) to release, it seems like a good idea to share a rough mix with you, and then maybe some more roughs if you like this and want more, and promise to buy the album when it is done and mixed properly???
This song, Space Race, is not about sending people into space, and was written long before there was a virus or a lockdown… but for some reason it just feels like today. Maybe you’ll think so too, but most of all maybe you’ll enjoy hearing some good old loud rock music again... that’s really what we hope for! Again, this is a rough mix, so it’s not polished, and we made a little video for it to help push it along. We hope you dig it, please share and let us know your thoughts! It will help us figure out how to move forward. But most of all TURN IT UP and ROCK OUT!
