Sound Novels are a sub-genre of adventure games, invented by Chun Soft who also invented the command-based visual adventure as we know it with Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken. In this video I will show you the 9 sound novels on Super Famicom, attempt to explain the world of sound novels, how we got there, and what came afterward.
Note: Sound Novels are NOT Visual Novels/VNs. Visual Novels have its characters visible with portraits which is the main difference.
