There’s something strangely satisfying about watching sound.

In this video I built a real-time audio spectrum analyzer that turns sound into colorful moving bars. Music, whistles, instruments – everything becomes a visual pattern.

What you’re seeing is the frequency spectrum of the sound captured by a microphone and processed using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) on a microcontroller (ESP32). Each bar represents a different frequency band.

Sometimes sound looks even better than it sounds.

If you enjoy audio visualizers, electronics projects, or satisfying visuals, you’ll probably like this.
