Sound Editing For Visual Media Ep08: How to win Sound Design Competitions (Part I)
In this episode I'm using a Sound Competition I recently won to teach some sound design techniques (as well as flex a bit who are we kidding?) and talk a little bit about how to stand out with your sound design, effective storytelling through sound, and how to organize your edit session to be ready for pre-mixing.
I broke this video into two parts, so in the next video I will dive deeper into mixing, how I use some plugins, and how I designed the sound of the robot's manipulations.
Every video comes with a blog post on my website featuring notes, free downloads, and extra study materials related to the topics covered. So check it out here: iddqdsound.com/post/sound-design-for-visual-media-tutorial-notes-ep08
