My brother and I unbox the Sound Devices MixPre-3, drink some bourbon and offer our initial impressions vs Zoom H6.
All the levels were eyeballed on either device and then put into the video unedited, unprocessed and unaltered other than making them stereo tracks instead of mono.
We mostly relied on the RODE M5 microphones because they're a matched pair and the only mics we have duplicates of.
Anyway, this is a fun sort of review with a little bourbon thrown in, we'll upload a real review after using it on some acutal shoots. Enjoy!
