I honestly have no words.
Over a year ago, I started playing random sections of the song with this modifier on, just for fun, and after hitting some really tough sections, I thought to myself "hey, why don't I go for this?".
At first it seemed intimidating, especially considering that the only time this had been done before was a collaborative effort from a lot of the best players at the time, but after I got every section in the main solo, my confidence grew a lot higher; and so, I posted a video on my second channel (@ReflectingAMirage) documenting all my progress so far.
Then I hit a massive roadblock: there were a lot of sections I had not expected to be as difficult as they were with this modifier. Victory Solo X, Remembrance D, and especially Malevolence, among others.
But I kept pushing.
I would load up this song from time to time, and give these sections another go, and so, one by one, they started going down, until the only one standing was Malevolence.
And let me tell you, this section is HARD. You need to be 110% focused for all of it to hit it. I would try, again and again, but to no avail. It felt like I was making no progress at all. Until one day, I hit it.
I was over the moon, until I watched the footage back and saw that it was choppy to the point you could barely understand what was going on. There was no way I would be using that clip.
After that, I started feeling pretty demotivated. The thought of having to FC that section again was incredibly frustrating. Hell, I even considered running a poll on Twitter asking if I should just take what I got and edit the tech with that clip, but it didn't feel right.
I eventually decided I would re-FC it, so I sat down and started going for it again, and when I eventually hit it, the first thing I did was open the clip to check how watchable it was, and after seeing it was good to go, I rushed in Vegas to start finally editing the video, which I finished that same afternoon.
I am pretty sure I'm the first person to do a one-person tech FC of this song, but until I get proper confirmation, that question mark is staying in the title.
