This is Track #17 of Disc 2 in the Soul Nomad OST. The track title for the release in America is "Broken Faraway Dreams" while the track title for the release in Japan is "The Distant Dream is Torn".
The song starts off leaving me with a feeling of despair, but it kind of gets a bit more upbeat for me as it goes on. However, that's just me speaking here. Also there's a very small few second section near the end that reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean for no valid reason...
