Last weekend, mingling at a social gathering, I was deep in a discussion with an eye surgeon, and I was asked for the umpteenth time the "classic" question : "So music is your passion, right?"
...
As usual, when presented with that paradigm, I glitched inside.
But contrary to usual, I decided to embrace the glitch and what it means to me, so I replied out loud how trivial that assessment feels.
Because at this point, music in my life is not entertainment, not a social means to connect, not culture.
It is a daily equation to solve in the purpose of growth.
I asked the surgeon how often he learns a new thing at his job, and how good it feels when that happens. And I guess that is my honest answer to the question. Learning new things every day is probably the best way to live a life.
And this week, we are going to learn some more about some pretty hazardous places in the world, welcome back an all time favorite band, check out the unexpected first time vinyl bootleg of a unique 90s release, and tons of challenging and beautiful records I'm currently forgetting about.

Un poêle naïf qui n'avait d'autre tort
Que d'être ce poète.

Compissent, et pis ! ton nom,
