"Sore Spot" custom edited heavy metal OST from Initial D. The video clips I matched to the song are from the 80's anime action movie "Riding Bean". The OST is from the English Tokyo Pop version of Initial D, aka the OG English Dubbed version. That is the version of Initial D that I was introduced to initially, and tbh my favorite version. I mean for instance, the 90's rap music bumping as the Red Suns made their first appearance at Akina made the Rotary Bros look like the straight up badasses that they are. It genuinely seemed like Keisuke himself had the music playing in his car as he opened the door to make his first impression on the Speed Stars. I also noticed many of the script lines used in the Tokyo Pop version were replaced when the modern dub was made, mostly for the worse if you ask me. But I'm sure many fans would disagree. "Sore Spot" was essentially Takeshi Nakazato's theme song, and in my opinion it is the perfect fit for his character, as opposed to "Back on the Rocks". This song came on when he battled Ryosuke and of course when he was battling Takumi in the later stages of the race. I happened to stumble across this song a month ago and instantly the Tokyo Pop version's scenes of his fearsome R32 came pouring into my head! This soundtrack is practically non-existent now, as is the Tokyo Pop version of Initial D. The non-modified original actually had a heck of a lot more hoarse screaming and cussing, that I delicately removed. I am not a fan of that sort of thing, but other than that I like this OST.
