And here's one more big event for the month!
After spending a weekend with 765 on the Indiana Northeastern, we find ourselves in Northern Wisconsin for another big steam engine event. The second run of SOO Line 1003 of the 2025 season, which was my second ever photo charter! Earlier in the summer, my friends over at A-Train4014 Productions announced their first ever photo charter and it would be with none other than SOO Line 1003. Seeing as they've been pretty close friends of mine, I managed to purchase a ticket to support them as well as the 1003's group.
The weather was nice for photos with hardly any clouds in the sky as we managed to follow the 1003 along the WSOR's Oshkosh, Markesan, and Milwaukee Subdivisions between Fairwater, Brandon, Burnett, and Rubicon, WI. Despite a 10 MPH speed restriction on the Oshkosh Sub and them running a bit behind schedule, they managed to make up time, and put on a good show while doing it! Whether it's through the scenic Wisconsin Countryside or passing by some old cars, 1003 and her crew did not disappoint today on this charter. I wanna give a big thanks to Andrew from A-Train4014 Productions, the 1003's crew, and the WSOR for making this charter possible, it's always great to see the 1003 stretch her wheels on a run like this!
