My tutorial for using Sony Vegas to edit YouTube videos. Settings:

Right click video then click properties then uncheck maintain aspect ratio
Check disable resample
Right click video then click Event Pan Crop -- lock aspect ratio at 1269 width and 713.8 height
Color Corrector Secondary: 0, 1.164, 1, 1.164, -18.63, 1
Sharpen -- around 0.5
Brightness and Contrast -- increase contrast but it depends on each video
Fade offset at end
Render setting -- best
13,500,000 bitrate is max but it is a larger file
Record audio in Audacity
Effect -- Compressor then just hit OK
Export audio as a MP3 file
