Really curious to see how PlayStation responds to all the backlash. I have never seen a company get ratioed this hard with this much push back as I'm seeing with Sony right now. It's crazy but good to see.
But it's even crazier to think they simply might not care at all. The thought

will say nothing and just proceed as planned. In 24 hours, the PlayStation post has over 81m views with more comments than likes.
This is the biggest pushback Sony has gotten since the launch of PS3 This Playstation backlash is FIERCE. Like, some of the strongest I've ever seen regarding gaming.
They will not reverse decision, but i do expect a statement addressing some things to "try" and save some face. Sony’s stock rose more than 3% after the company announced it will stop releasing new PlayStation games on physical discs starting in January 2028.
Apparently, investors see the move as a way for Sony to increase profits, as selling games digitally eliminates the costs.
Sony said nearly 80% of full-game sales on PS4 and PS5 are already digital, up from 13% when the PS4 launched in 2013.
I don't think they will walk back on this decision even with all the backlash. Sony has been planning this all-digital future for some time, a new report claims
“the company’s facility in Thalgau has been preparing for this transition for some time”
Staff are being retrained for “optical microlens manufacturing”
