Although the image quality held up fairly well against YouTube's re-compression, you can really see how Sony's standard SteadyShot just can't keep up with the shaking and vibration of holding the camcorder while in a moving car. It also highlights the tendency of all modern Sony camcorders to make red look more like orange. The Autumn leaves on these trees were intensely bright RED, but Sony didn't see it that way!
The Active SteadyShot in Sony's latest Handycams does a much better job at keeping the image stable, although the SX83 was Sony's last ever high-end standard definition camcorder, so unless you don't mind the rather mediocre video quality of their current standard-def Handycams (SX45/65/85), you'll need to upgrade to a high definition model now.
