Tony takes is clumsy handheld skills to The Getty Villa for some video tests. Hooray!
My Assessment: 4K 24 looks fine, stabilization works OK. 4K 60p can lead to some aliasing... no like. I cut out some of it but you can still see some that made it in. No idea if its xavc-s to blame or that its binned, cropped, breathing compensation is on, AND I had active stabilization on which crops even more... crop/crop/crop makes bad times... looks ok on mobile sometimes.
Dynamic Range is very good... no problems here. Just shoot correctly in slog3 and you're fine.
Technical Information:
• Sony a7r5, Sony 50mm f1.2GM, no filters etc. because I'm lazy.
• Slog3/SGamut3.cine, graded in Davinci Resolve.
• XAVC-S, 4K binned, mostly 60p, some 24. It should be obvious.
