1-line review: If you can get past the poor ergonomics, confusing menus, and frame-rate dependant auto-focus and zoom features, the Sony A73 is a tremendous value for a 4K full-frame mirrorless camera for video shooters.

Is the Sony A7iii worth switching video camera systems for? For me - a Nikon stills shooter - kind of. Even with the recently released Canon R, Nikon Z and Panasonic S models, the Sony A7iii is the best full-frame mirrorless camera value with features I've come to rely on. Personally, I've added the Sony A73 for video, and continue to use my Nikon DSLR's for stills.
