There is no better technology and patents than Sony have even if it's shutter dies. Sony ILCE-6000 E-mount (a6000) is very good camera but not good for taking photos of entire marathons as the shutter lifespan is very low. Two of my previous a6000 have already died during shooting a marathon but for other purposed it is really good camera and you won't find better one. I have tried all vendors mirrorless cameras and Sony is absolutely the best. Superb quality lenses comes with E-Mount system, unbelievable performance, super fast processor, fastest auto focus on the market, brilliant quality microphones build in. Excellent camera. I love them even if it died twice I got another one because there is nothing better on the market yet. Please take notice I shoot quarter of a million photos per year so I am using and testing this a6000 in an extreme conditions during marathon photography and in very harsh Irish weather conditions too. Never had a problem because camera was wet completely for all day of shooting. It is weather proof so it is absolutely good camera which I have tested extremely. For a normal user in a studio or even every day usage your shutter life should be enough for like 10 years I think so don't worry. I do that count within 2 years so that happens and I know that. I love Sony cameras but they could work on better shutter count for me :)
