During spring of 2020 I thought it might be fun to get lots of kids to learn a cover of Sons & Daughters by The Decemberists for a video collaboration.
I was right! It was great fun and the kids loved taking part. They all did very well to learn the song and some of them even learnt instruments especially!
All of my collaboration videos have been linked to a charity and this one is no different.
We are hoping to raise much-needed funds for Gympanzees, a charity which helps disabled children and young people enjoy a life filled with exercise, play and friendship. You can find out more about Gympanzees here gympanzees.org

Massive thanks to Ava, Charlie, Coco, Dex, Elijah, Emily, Flo PB, Flo S, Gabe, Izzy, Leon, Poppy M, Poppy S, Reuben, Issy, Roe, Seren, Yvie, Mark and Emmy for being so AWESOME, to my bandmates Josh Hampson (drums), John Hare (piano) and Tom Granville (bass) for keeping up with the youngsters, and to Dave Draper for yet another excellent job of mixing and mastering the song.
You have all been a real joy to work with and I hope we can sing it all together one day.
