CONSOLE PLUGIN SHOOTOUT || Sonimus Britson (Neve 8014) vs Satson (SSL) || Whats the difference?
My name is Paul Third and this week on mixing wednesday I am comparing 2 console plugin emulations in the form of the sonimus britson (NEVE 8014 w/ 1073 modules) and sonimus satson (ssl console).
Both have gain staging capabilities, stereo crosstalk, hi & low pass filters, as well as additional extra harmonic options via the FAT switch (I'll also show this in DDMF plugindoctor). You can create groups and route each vst plugin to the master bus instance where you can control everything globally.
For most music producers and home studio audio engineers creating more depth and open ITB mixes is something of importance as it something that many contribute to console crosstalk. It is something that a lot of audio plugins struggle to create in audio mixing so in this sonimus plugin comparison my hope is show the sonic differences of both and how they can add more space to a multitrack session.
