Sonic93 Video* "I'M WORKIN' ON IT!" - Chris Chan August 27, 2009
The animation is being colored and a few new frames are being added. It's just mentally draining to say the least.
I'm trying to go for monthly uploads, but it's been a bit hard with my 40hrs of work every week, and the fact I am only one person. So hopefully, this update will help other know some of my upcoming plans. Also to add, if I don't upload on my main - check my second account. Subscribe to it as well, because if something happens to my main then that's the account I'll fall back on!
Deviantart vs Youtube vs Twitter
For the last while, I have been trying to use Deviantart as a place to update viewers on what's new, but it hasn't been working too well. The people on dA aren't really the same hundred that are on YouTube, the people on Deviantart who watch me mainly want me to draw what interests them, because you know ( youtube.com/watch?v=FKhNRcr4agg ).
I would like to use YouTube's community tab, but can't because your account has to pass 1,000 subs. So I hope you guys don't mind if I start asking for subs in my videos, at least until I can pass the mark just enough to have the tab and do more polls and updates. In the meantime, I am actually active on Twitter and my do polls there temporarily to offset. You can even ask me questions about upcoming videos, ideas, and thoughts on stuff.
Patreon and Commissions
I don't have much to say about Patreon, But I have been reconsidering level perks. For example, I had a level perk that gave a discount on commissions. Which thinking about it is way to hard to keep up with, especially if I somehow get 50 people donating that amount, it could be hard to keep up with that promise. But that is a story for another day.
Commissions are coming after the Sonic93 video. I may have raffles for the people who purchase them at over a certain price to receive a free commission. Since a good portion of the people may be into specific interests that others will find weird. I will make a special folder on my Deviantart for those such creations.
Fleabags
Fleabags is a web comic I am planning on starting. Rather then a random-thing-of-the-week style comic, it will be story driven and each issue will continue where the other left off. It's a mixed bag, but will mainly be a black drama, and black comedy (The best way to describe the comic is that it's kind of like the TF2 comics, but a much more dark). The comic is about animal-human creatures trying to overcome their personal struggles, ranging from suicidal thoughts, insidious plans, horrific urges, and mental illness in a world where people and evolution look down on them. Characters start as one thing and slowly mold and change as it goes.
While crazy, Fleabags is what I intend to be my life work. I have a very good idea what I want for it, but I am making some character changes. Recently, Jayne has been getting a rework, along with the comic's overall art style. The first issue will be worked on after the first commissions have finished.
