This was done for The Sound of Speed, a Mario Paint community event celebrating the music of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Until July 31st, 2020, any Sonic song done by members of the Mario Paint community will be added to the event's playlist.
Well, can't say I was expecting to end up doing anything from Sonic 4 at any point, but here we are. Episode 2's music isn't as bad as some may make it out to be; it's really just the synths used that detract from the soundtrack. This song, while extremely repetitive, is honestly one of my favorites from the soundtrack, next to the Metal Sonic boss theme and the Stardust Speedway remix.
Recording this was a nightmare... So many lag spikes, and percussion clipping issues. This recording I got isn't perfect either, as there's still some clipping issues and a slight lag spike towards the end, but I was at my wit's end trying to get this recorded without a hitch, so this is the best I managed to get. Hopefully it isn't too bad.
