The opening of Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) packs in more emotion than you'd expect from a movie about a blue hedgehog. Sonic (Ben Schwartz) tells us about growing up on a distant island with his guardian Longclaw, the attack that forced him through a ring portal to Earth, and the years he spent hiding in Green Hills — watching Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) and Maddie (Tika Sumpter) from the shadows, playing baseball against himself, and pretending he wasn't lonely. Directed by Jeff Fowler.

Movie Description: Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) is a live-action/animated comedy based on Sega's video game franchise. Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz), an alien hedgehog with super-speed, has been hiding on Earth for years when a power surge accidentally tips off the government. They send in Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey), and Sonic ends up on a cross-country road trip with small-town sheriff Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) to get his teleportation rings back before Robotnik catches him.
