READ ME: Welcome back to Sonic the Hedgehog 1, the very first game of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise! For this walkthrough, we showcase a fan-based character swap hack that I think deserves a lot of praise. Amy Rose debuted in the game, Sonic the Hedgehog CD where she was a non-playable character before her return in Sonic Adventure with a modern makeover. In her classic design, she was kidnapped by Metal Sonic. She utilizes all her abilities from the Sonic Advance series where she can't jump-roll or Spin Dash like Sonic. So she once again has to rely on her trademark hammer to do all the damage, making her a suitable character for skilled players. Additionally, just like in Sonic Advance, she can use her Hammer Jump trick to reach high places that Sonic and Knuckles normally couldn't reach. Enjoy!
The game was modified by Sonic Retro member E-122-Psi, with additional programming and coding by other members including MarkeyJester, Aquaslash, Selbi and Hayate.
