Enjoy! Midway into the demo's availability timeframe, a festival mode was active. Here the 12 racers are spit into teams of 4 and are given a certain bonus objective to do during the race like bumping into teammates, collect rings, or performing air tricks.

Doing these fulfills two things. First, it fills up a boost meter and gives all teammates a burst of speed that last depending on how far behind the individual player is. Second, whichever team did the bonus thing the most collectively will receive an extra 10 points towards their team ranking points. This can be a make or break deal during the final race results, so take the bonus objectives into consideration when playing this festival mode.
