The third track in this game. It seems to take place somewhere on Angel Island, as it's full of sphinxes that look like Knuckles.
The theme song for this course is "Back in Time".
Radical City's "Living in the City" focused on the present, while "Back in Time" focuses on the past, which is fitting giving the theme of this course. One may reminisce about the past, believing it to be of more peaceful times than the present, and yearning to travel back to that age of yesteryear to truly enjoy one's life, especially with someone else that they care dearly for.

Two more Chaos Emeralds to get out of this course, and both of them are sealed inside pyramid-shaped containers that won't open until you unlock the Ring Gates they're behind.
The Yellow Chaos Emerald will be behind a 50 Ring Gate, while the Orange Chaos Emerald will be behind a 20 Ring Gate.

After winning Top 3 with the 5 Medals of this course, you get to race a familiar Eggman contraption: The Eggrobo from Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Beat this robot in a race, and you get him as a playable racer. Preferably to harass Knuckles with, again.
