This turned out to be much harder than I was anticipating. For the max score here, all you have to do is finish in sub 30 and don't take damage so you keep all the rings. Shouldn't be too hard, given the time attack is a 26 seconds, so have a few seconds of buffer.
Well, as it turns out, the 'don't take damage' part impacts to speed aspect by a *lot*. All of the fastest strats involve taking damage on purpose for invincibility frames, and this boss gets way harder and slower without them. Squeezing in a sub 30 wasn't too horrible, but definitely harder than I was expecting!
But, now it's perfect.

In Transfers Only speedruns, you start from a new game in the Game Boy game via Dodrio Tower, and make a team to beat one of the cups. In this case, Little Cup (both Round 1 and 2). The reason for doing transfers *only*, is that otherwise just using rentals would be faster. The reason for starting from new game, is otherwise just using perfectly built mons is boring, and too easy. The reason for not doing the whole game, is grinding to L100 for Prime Cup is also very boring.
But this is a sweet spot thats really interesting to theorise routes for, in terms of Pokemon to get and use, and risk/reward factor between how much to prioritise team building and how much to go in as soon as possible.
Doing Little Cup from Yellow is fun, since in gen 1 you dont have access to very many Pokemon to use at Level 5 since breeding didnt exist. Luckily there is enough to pull through with a little luck. Happy I brought this down beneath my goal, was a fun one to route for sure!
Ive done quite a few of these runs now, but definitely more of these transfers only runs to come in the future too!

Bounty rules means basically playing under the FR/LG requirements of E4R2 - that being catch 60 mons, dont use exp share, and dont use one of the really high level catches you can get an hour in (Raikou, Entei, or L50 Magikarp), and dont use RNG Manip.
Sakharu created and put up a bounty for this category that runs until the end of the year. I really wanted to pick it up, cause I love the 60 Poke requirement from FR/LG.
