This is the original opening for the Sonic Plush episode "Imitate This!!".
This opening wasn't used because it doesn't drive home that the Imitation Sonic wanted revenge. I also thought this was too long. Lastly, Metal Sonic and his Spider girlfriend (yes, the spider is Metal Sonic's girlfriend) only appear in the beginning and had never seen again for the rest of the episode.
