Dude you have no idea how amazing Sonic in widescreen is: it easily justifies the price tag for Sonic Origins. I mean, playing Sonic with a slightly wider screen gives me *just enough* reaction time to not run into every single enemy in the game. I have no idea what the original developers were thinking: games aren't meant to test your reflexes! This is a video game: if I wanted to be challenged, I'd play chess or something. I'm glad they removed the lives system too: punishing players for dying in a video game is not cool. You know what's also not cool? The bosses. I know they were designed for 4:3, and making the screen wider completely butchers them, but COME ON, DUDE: MORE SCREEN! How can you not call this an upgrade? So what if the entire balance of the boss has been completely thrown out? It doesn't matter if the game is nothing like how it was intended: what matters is that the game fills my entire TV.
