Speedrun of Terminal Velocity Boss as Sonic in Sonic Colours: Ultimate
Not an IL I thought I'd ever make a video for, but here we are. Actually some pretty neat tech for it in Ultimate compared to Wii:
- With the right timing and execution on your sweet spot homing attacks, you can get a tiny window in which you can get an early hit, skipping Sonic's long prep animation. Can be done for all 4 homing attacks aimed at Eggman's face!
- With the right timing and positioning on your quickstep, you can cancel certain patterns of cube + laser. I have a hard time doing this one on purpose, but I happened to get it this run. Hard to practice too, since you need the right attack luck for it. Still a slower attack than just spike or just laser though.
Other than this tech, this run is pretty improvable. My attack luck was good, but not exactly the best (not a single laser to be seen) and the execution could've been a bit tighter, but this was the only run where I got all 4 quick hits, so I'm taking it and not touching this dreaful grind of an IL again.

A run of big highs and big lows, with a new skip in Egg Fleet. Apologies for the low mic audio this run, some program messed with my audio levels (despite having the option to allow that disabled grumble grumble). More improvements to come!

- Bop Boost (accidental bop boost states are fine, taking advantage of them is not)
- Bingo Highway Skip
- Pinball Table Launching
- Mystic Mansion Cage Clip

- Power Formation Flight (ground pounds with skewed gravity are allowed, chaining them is not)
