At the time of upload (6/30/09) this is the world record.
This level is really all about timing. That speed break must be performed late enough that you have enough soul to make it to the refill pearls, and early enough that you skip the slowdown at the end of the spiral. It must be canceled late enough that you dodge the drift point, and early enough that you don't kill the enemies in the next corridor. You have to be holding right long enough to clear the enemies in this room, but then switch left as soon as you've cleared them to make it to the hoop. You have to fire out of the hoop quickly to get a good time, but not too quick or you'll catch one of the genies flying across. As you can imagine, this took quite a few tries to get right.
Thanks to Paraxade for teaching me about brakecresting, as that made getting the speed break fast enough a lot easier. Also, we all know the real reason I did this was so I can have at least one video with "Palace That Was Found" :P.
