This is an unedited video that demonstrates a brief section of Sonic's story on the Dreamcast with some of the mods and mod ports we have made at X-Hax.

Mods used:
Analog Drift Fix,
Windy Valley Expanded,
Stop SFX After Events and Between Acts,
Bugfixes,
Vsync ADX,
Sonic Onionskin Shoe Blur.

Analog Drift Fix is my port of OnVar's SA2 Analog Drift Fix, which is useful for emulators so that holding up on the analogue stick actually counts as direct up and not up but slightly off to the left.

Windy Valley Expanded is PkR's port of SoloSlacker's mod from SADX, which lets Sonic play Windy Valley from Gamma's starting point and with multiple routes.

Stop SFX After Events and Between Acts properly stops SFX on transitions, to prevent invalid sounds from playing. It is noticeable going from Ice Cap Act 1 into Act 2, and also for the end of the events for Sonic confronting Gamma on the Egg Carrier and the start of Egg Viper.

Bugfixes was developed by PkR and lists the following fixes:
Makes Emerald Coast ocean animation smoother in motion.
Fixes Z fighting with one of the car lights in Chaos 0.
Fixes the texture on the Super Sonic question mark.
Fixes wrong texture on Chaos 4 water waves.
Fixes texture errors and sea wave alignment in EC Garden.
Fixes ocean alignment in Station Square hotel area.
Fixed texture errors in E-101's room.
Fixes missing Egg Keeper sounds in Hot Shelter.

VsyncADX was developed by me and Dakrk and PkR, and lets the Vsync handler do streaming audio updates so that we can make Adventure Field music play without restarting when going between different areas of them. It is noticeable throughout Station Square in this video.

Sonic Onionskin Shoe Blur is my port of the old code from the original Japanese release of the game that draws stretched shoes when Sonic is running fast enough alongside transparent duplicates of the shoes. This is intended to mimic the fast running shoe blur from the Megadrive games, though the stretch currently only applies to the normal shoes. With light shoes only the blur applies. It is noticeable whenever Sonic hits a dash panel.

There are also widescreen mods for hardware (anamorphic) and for Flycast (proper 16:9) as well as the Flycast 60fps mod that still has a few bugs and requires the sh4 300mhz overclock in Flycast's settings.

The current mods we have released can be found here alongside instructions for using the DC Image Builder: github.com/X-Hax/dreamcast-mods
