Sonic and Ashuro is an extensive ROM hack by AfterLife while for me in my opinion is that this beautiful ROM hack is like the precursor to Sonic Mania, minus Green Hill Zone for the umpteenth time since we've ALL seen the multiple variants of GREEN HILL ZONE since this ROM hack stands out in my opinion over here.
GREEN. HILL. ZONE.
GREEN... HILL... ZONE...
GREEN!!! HILL!!! ZONE!!!
It was nice and lovely in Sonic 1 but when it's overused a gajillion times, it gets old and annoying but yet very much somewhat cliche but extremely cliche and terribly but downright OLD at best, but that's just my opinion for that, though.
It's beautiful and colorful and in my general opinion of ROM hacks, I happily give this hack 10 out of 10 for visuals and for the music choice of the soundtrack.
(Now, if only I can find the MIDIs used in this since the only MIDI I can find from this is King Meteor's MIDI of Ocean Base Zone, Act 1 from Sonic Advance 3 would be lovely...)
However, this ROM hack scores an 11 out of 10 since the music choice is really good! Plus it doesn't even feel like a regular ROM hack, it feels like an external brand new game and to me, it feels like an entirely new game over here plus Ultra Blue Sonic makes every Badnik just only what?
Cannon fodder! Total cannon fodder, man plus the bosses become very much disappointing but overall, the Badniks are just cannon fodder to him when he's Super or Ultra Blue Sonic.
Plus he will basically break the game and possibly the level since the last time I played this game, it broke the ending title sequence and it was a glitched-out but playable mess. Even the HUD was messed up, too!

Anyway, you can download the ROM hack here: shc-dist.lostsig.co/downloads/compo2016/[SHC2016]%20[compo2016]%2043%20-%20Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog%20&%20Ashuro%20-%20By%20Ashuro.bin

![MLaaTR - Closing theme (Version 5)
This is my 5th version of what? My Life as a Teenage Robots opening main theme song!
Plus, I took some samples from Sonic & Ashuro for the kick, Sonic 1 drum, and snare, The S Factor: Sonia & Silver (ROM hack) for the FM instruments, and [SHC] [expo2017] – Sonic 2: The Return of Shadow – By JoenickROS and for more FM instruments, then I made it into this but kept Sonic 3s snare, kick, and Sonic 1 drum to give it that jazzy/grunge feel from the Sega Genesis.

![Sonic 2 (Master System) – Boss Battle (16-bit version) [Version 2]
A re-do of my old Genesis cover of Sonic 2 (Master System) – Boss Battle but this time, though, its not out of tune!
Now, the MIDI that Ive used for making this was sequenced by SwordBolt.
On the other hand, you can download the MIDI that Ive used here, at the VGMusic website (the prime site I use to make these kinds of videos, albeit with super awesome results when the instruments are pitched just right): https://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/sega/master/STH2MS-Boss_Battle_XG.mid
