I went and tied the world record, and with some really silly time-losses. I really want to shoot for the sub 11:40, but I might just take whatever my next improvement is.
Having timed it to the frame, it seems like this run is exactly 12 frames slower than DsS' 11:44. Not even a quarter of a second.
Here's some easy ways to gain time against this run:
22s first section of CC = 3s
Not using the homing attack on the capsule and not sharp-turning on the Tropical Jungle ball = 2s+
Harder IL strats on Wave Ocean (which I forgot about completely) = 6s to 9s
Unbuffered MSG = 2s
Unbuffered MSG is really risky, and I can't even pull it off yet, but it would be good to have it on top of the significantly better Wave Ocean strats. I doubt I'll be trying for unbuffered though.
Fun fact, my last PB (my 11:49), was done on November 26th 2014. Three years and two days later, and I get a 5 second improvement that took only two hours to get. Feels gooooood.
