When author Sebastian P. Husher doesn't respond to the publishing firm that is publishing his new book, Etienne Bertrand, a sales-manager at the publishing firm, sends Daniel Noyer, his assistant, to go to the Husher Mansion (Location) to find out what's going on. As Daniel explores the empty mansion he discovers an abnormal door in Husher's office, which he enters. Unknown to Daniel was that after he entered he wouldn't be able to exit.
Sometime before or while those events are going on Alexander Laskin, one of the Husher's housekeepers, is returning from a trip and is on his way back to the Husher mansion. Alina Ramos, an electrician, also receives a call asking her to fix the power at the Husher mansion.
