This short video shows a brief look at Son of Beast, the new-for-2000, defunct, record breaking looping wooden coaster that used to operate at Paramount's Kings Island. In this video you will also see an e-stop (emergency stop) happening in the ride's block brake area. This is something that happens on rides frequently. It should be known that rides are designed for this to happen in the event something isn't working properly within the blocks. With Son of Beast, there were booster tires that would give the train an extra push out of the block brake so it could safely complete the vertical loop that followed
