Day 40/365 ✨
Last night my daughter asked me to sleep with her.
She doesn’t do that very often anymore, and I secretly missed it.
Very early this morning she woke up with a stomach ache. I tried to comfort her until she fell back asleep. I couldn’t go back to sleep after that, so today feels a little heavier.
She woke up at her usual time and said she felt better and didn’t want to miss school. I dropped her off, even though we were both tired.
Now I’m here, working a few simple double crochet stitches and thinking about her.
It’s incredible how comforting something repetitive and quiet can be in moments like this.
Sometimes stitches hold more than just yarn 🤍
