Something has definitely changed in the skies over western Arkansas. After living here for 14 years, I've never seen or heard this much fighter jet activity. What used to be occasional military aircraft has turned into jets flying almost every day.
I finally decided to find out what was going on.
It turns out Ebbing Air National Guard Base in Fort Smith has become a major training location for international F-35 and F-16 pilots. In this video I talk about what I discovered, which countries are training here, why activity has increased so much in 2026, and why Arkansas may be hearing even more fighter jets in the future.
