Slated to open July 2016 in Scottsdale, OdySea Aquarium will be the largest aquarium in the Southwest.
Spanning 200,000 square feet, the two-level aquarium will hold more than 2 million gallons of water and accommodate up to 15,000 visitors daily.
OdySea Aquarium will set a new standard for how future aquariums are designed with its innovative use of theme park technology to create an educational and entertaining oceanic adventure like none other in the industry.
Visitors will travel between the aquarium’s levels along walkways encased in giant submerged acrylic tubes surrounded by thousands of sea creatures on all sides. Live exhibits will be complemented by state-of-the-art media, interactive shows and entertaining presentations.
From sharks, turtles, and penguins to jellyfish, octopus and more, OdySea Aquarium will present some of the most fascinating marine life from around the world in beautiful replications of their natural habitats.
OdySea Aquarium is projected to employ more than 250 individuals. There will be a 501c3 non-profit foundation that will administer educational programs, conservation programs, and services.
