Intermediate: Chase Freedom Unlimited, gets you 5% money back
Best: Chase Sapphire Reserve
($450 annual fee, however you get $300 back on anything travel related + airport lounge memberships, no wait for TSA, $500 cost usual, 50,000 points sign up bonus (worth $500 cash, so pays for first year and you get $50 extra credit) - call in and ask for waiving annual fee as long as you had no issues/ always paid on time, retention waiver.

go to Cfpb.gov to file disputes on your credit card *they work as mediators to credit card companies, which have 15 day to respond, they usually just forgive these dings
+ Keep your Credit Utilization Ratio LOW
want balance less than 10%
(so $4,000 limit, keep balance under $400)
+Max out Credit Line, more credit line = more power
If starting out for the first time, aim to establish relationshps with banks and aim for at least $10,000 in credit limit.
+ If younger than 18, ask parents or family member to add you as an authorized user.
