Hello everybody! This video comes to you from the many requests I got since I purchased the Hangkai 12hp. I've had the opportunity to spend a lot of time using this motor and figuring out the kinks and how to address them to make this motor last just as long as any other major brand. The main issues come from the factory, lubrication to be exact. The gear case does not come filled like my Tohatsu 6hp did, so you have to make sure the gear case if filled with gear oil before taking it to the water. This is one of the examples as to why these motors have such a bad reputation, that being said, with a little bit of attention and effort, this motor is a diamond on the rough and it can be easily turned into a well-polished diamond.
