In “Potential,” sombr tells the story of someone stuck on a breakup that doesn’t feel finished. He keeps thinking about how real the relationship felt waking up together, seeing each other at their most natural and how much it could’ve been. What messes with him isn’t just losing the person, it’s losing the future they might’ve had. Even though he tries to act like he’s fine and moving on, he’s clearly still mentally tied to them, replaying everything and struggling with the fact that the other person seems ready to let go way faster than he is.
