An original story written by me the other week. I have been dealing with tremendous grief, as some of you know as per my posts if you're a regular of the channel. I wrote this for both of my grandparents, whom I had lived with most of my life. It was the only place I did or will ever comfortably call home. I moved out again for the last time this March. Only 3 months later and everything I cared about was gone, just like that.
For my grandmother, this story is set to premiere on November 29th, the day that would have been her 89th birthday. This is a present for both her and my grandfather.
This wasn't an easy story to write. As a fact, I sat down in an attempt to write it down but couldn't bring myself to do so. I tried again another night and finished it in one sitting. If you're wondering why I titled it ''Que Sera, Sera'' as the same song as Doris Day, it's because it was one of my grandmother's favourite songs and it was played at her funeral. Before choosing that name, I called it ''A Blank Page''. I didn't know what to call it, and I still don't. It's an unofficial title.
If I knew any other way to write this outside of the MLP universe, I'm not sure if that would have been more fitting to the untold events in the actual canon universe with the Apple family and the apparent losses of Granny Smith and Golden Delicious (We see Applejack and Apple Bloom wearing their neckerchiefs/scarfs). It didn't click until I was almost finished with the story and looking it over.
I never stop thinking about my grandparents and life without them is strange despite them not even being gone for a couple months yet. Due to the nature of this one, I am not monetising it nor am I going to say it's my best work. This isn't the original version, since I had to do some editing by splicing in lines that I messed up or that I thought weren't good enough, so the quality in audio in parts does go up and down a couple times.
That being said, I did my best, but please remember that this is an unusual video from me and it is a tribute/eulogy of sorts for two people I really cared about and who had more than a special place and role in my life. In some ways, they were all that I had.
Please keep comments respectful, too. For what it is, any comments that can be interpreted as insensitive and/or disrespectful will be taken down and I'll block anybody who does that, either towards myself or to anybody else who's suffering through their own grief of loss at this time.
