One thing I didn't mention in my discussion of Q is how race is ignored completely in the book. Standardized tests are biased, let alone all the teacher bias present in classrooms through praise, discipline, teacher ideas about a child's ability, etc. Students are also put in situations where they are required to follow white norms all day long without any respect to Black culture. They have to fit into a box rather than be fully themselves and celebrated for who they are.
